It’s All About Dad!

It’s that time of year again where we make things All About Dad!
With Father’s day approaching on the 18th June, we’ve got plenty of ways to indulge him in store, from chocolate to whisky to wines (and wines are 3 for 2 on single bottles over £10 until 25.06.17!*). One of our favourite ways to spoil anyone who loves food and drink as much as we do is to make up a little gift basket of their favourite things, so here are a few of our ideas to give you a little inspiration.
If he’s a coffee lover we’ve got an amazing range of hand-roasted (right here in Preston) Booths coffee beans, which can be paired up with a couple of sweet flavoured syrups and our Booths golden caddy of melt-in-the-mouth shortbread. Why not try our Black Roast Coffee, with a strength of six and a strong, punchy smoky flavour? Perfect for the true coffee connoisseur.
Or if he’s more of a spirits man, why not create a basket with a selection of whiskies and local craft gins, with some snacks and mixers alongside? And of course, we’ve plenty of indulgent chocolates – our favourites are our Booths handmade salted caramel truffles!
We’re well known for our great selection of ales thanks to our fabulous beer buyer Pete, which makes it easy to ‘craft’ a basket of exciting beers for him (and snacks of course). If he’s getting into his homebrew though, we’ve a very exciting offering from BrewDog coming into stores on the 7th June – a limited amount of their very own Beer Kit! Just £40 each, the kit makes 4 litres of BrewDog Punk IPA at home in just two weeks, which they describe as a ‘Post Modern Classic’.
a very hoppy, deep amber coloured ale. Notes of caramel and bursts of tropical fruits make this ale one to remember.
