Booths has boosted its fresh food offering for customers in Knutsford.
The family-run northern retailer has revamped its sandwiches and lunch time choices by freshly preparing most items in store using local ingredients from Booths Country where possible.
Booths, which has been bringing the best local produce to customers in the town for more than 20 years, now offers mouth-watering sandwiches hand prepared that day with sumptuous fillings such as Cumbrian honey roast ham, roast sirloin of beef with beef tomato and horse radish mayonnaise, and Sandham’s Lancashire cheese with Westmorland chutney.
The bread for the sandwiches is made bespoke for Booths by regional bakers Waterfields. To ensure customers get the very freshest quality food the items are only sold on the day they are prepared in store.
Neil Cooper, Booths senior catering manager said that the new range of sandwiches and other fresh items now better reflects the quality of the produce found throughout the rest of the Booths store.
“The new range of sandwiches and salads has been specially designed by Booths’ own executive chef.
The range consists of 40 products made up of 12 different salads and 28 different sandwiches, a choice of which, are available daily to keep it varied and interesting for customers.
There is also a range of freshly prepared pizzas available, together with a variety of freshly cut in store products, such as cheese, cooked meats and pies.
Ian Jacques, manager of Booths’ Knutsford store, said: “Booths prides itself on providing the very best fresh regional produce in its stores. We have revamped the range of fresh items we provide in store to improve the quality available for our customers in Knutsford.
“People are taking a growing interest in where their food comes from and its freshness and our new range reflects that demand.”
