Booths is set to provide a boost to the local economy in Eden as it begins its search to recruit 80 employees for its new store in Penrith.
Booths will be opening its Penrith store in the autumn and it is currently looking to recruit general assistants, heads of departments and supervisors. The general assistant jobs involves being the face of Booths, helping customers with their queries, as well as maintaining the appearance of the store and making sure the products are well stocked. General assistants should share Booths’ passion for quality and customer service.
There will be opportunities for some general assistants to develop into Booths specialists in produce such as cheese or fish. Booths is continuing to develop the initiative which aims to turn more of its staff into specialist food advisors by increasing their knowledge of products, including making, tasting, grading and cooking them.
