Success for Booths at The Grocer Gold Awards 2015

We are delighted that Booths were named Independent Retail Chain of the Year at The Grocer Gold Awards, which recognise the best in grocery retail for service, innovation and commitment.

We could barely contain our excitement on the way down to London as we kept our fingers firmly crossed.

The entries were judged by a panel of industry leaders, deeply impressed by our success and growth while retaining small company values that clearly run through the business, from checkout staff to boardroom.

Our passion for quality, local produce and strong focus on customer service particularly impressed the judging panel. The Booths Fair Milk scheme, which pays the highest farm gate price in the market to our milk suppliers, stood out as a notable highlight.

We’re delighted with this award, it’s a brilliant testament of the quality of our staff, our suppliers and our customers.  We’re a proudly independent retailer and we’ve kept true to the roots of the original Edwin Henry Booth’s vision; to sell the best available produce in shops staffed by first class assistants. In a challenging and changeable retail market, this vision resonates now more than ever.
