Bryson’s is an established family bakery and confectionery business, which has been crafting hand-made goods for over 75 years. Still producing from the same bakery in the heart of Keswick since 1946, when John Bryson returned from the Second World War, locals and holiday makers alike awake to the aroma of freshly baked bread in the air each morning.
The small bakery soon became very popular and expanded into the neighbouring two properties. Now, one of the largest craft bakeries in the Lake District, no visit to the area would be complete without a visit to Bryson’s of Keswick, where Afternoon Tea is always a favourite.
The Bryson’s family work alongside the bakery and confectionery teams to produce a range of bread, cakes, savouries, biscuits, fancies and cream cakes, supplying to their own retail shops in Keswick, Bowness-on-Windermere, Cockermouth, Appleby and Kirkby Stephen, as well as hospitality venues in Cumbria and retailers such as Booths.
Whilst innovation and creating new products is a drive for the team, they still bake the traditional items to John Bryson’s original recipes using the finest ingredients they can source. Our new range of bakery treats, created by the team at Bryson’s include filled loaf cakes, delicious muffins and melt-in-your-mouth Viennese Whirls. Everything the team creates is baked with patience and care, for customers who matter.
