Booths Bags

**THIS COMPETITION IS ON PAUSE DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS**

Each time we release a new edition of our Booths tote bags, we get inundated with fab suggestions for new ones & so this time, it’s over to you! For the chance to get your pun on one of our new bags, we want to know, what’s your ‘bag’ idea?

We’ll be producing three new all year round tote bags as well as one which will be available for Christmas 2020 & we’d love you to come up with the food-related puns to go on them. To enter, get your thinking cap on and send us your wittiest food-related play on words, whether it’s a saying, a film, a book title – it can be anything you like as long as it’s a food-related pun. Don’t forget to get festive too.

16th February 2020 – 23.59 1st March 2020. After this date and time no further entries to the competition will be permitted.

You may enter as many times as you wish.

Open to all UK mainland consumers over the age of 18 only, including employees of E.H. Booth & Co. Limited and their immediate families, with the exception of anyone directly professionally connected with this promotion.

The Prize:

  • Your slogan printed onto a Booths tote bag to be sold in Booths stores. Your name will feature on the bag’s sales tag if your permission is given. Please note, Booths will design the bag, it will be your slogan only that is used.
  • A set of bags once produced
  • A £25 Booths voucher

If a winning slogan is chosen that has been put forward by multiple entrants, the first entrant to have proposed the slogan will be the winner.

Each entrant hereby agrees that the promoter (and third parties authorised by the promoter) may make any and all entries available in their publications and on their websites and any other media, whether now known or invented in the future. You now grant the promoter (and third parties authorised by the promoter) a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, make derivative works from, edit, alter, store, re-format, sell and sub-licence the entry for such purposes.

Your entry and any information submitted by you must not infringe the intellectual property, privacy or any other rights of any third party, and will not contain anything which is libellous, defamatory, obscene, indecent, harassing or threatening. If relevant, the promoter reserves the right, but not the obligation, to screen, filter and/or monitor information provided by you and to edit, refuse to distribute or remove the same.

The promoter does not, unless we agree this with you, claim any rights of ownership to your entry. As such, you retain ownership and copyright, although the promoter will be able to use entries as set out in the rules, you will also have the right to use your entry in any way you choose.

Four winners will be chosen by a judging panel after the competition closes. Judging panel is made up of Edwin Booth, one independent judge and one store manager.

General Terms & Conditions for entering Booths Social Media Competitions

Unless otherwise stated in the above individual set(s) of competition rules, these terms and conditions apply to all Booths social media competitions. Individual competition rules take precedence over general terms and conditions in the event of a query. 

The promoter is: E.H. Booth & Co. Limited (Registration no. 49933) whose registered office is at Booths Central Office, Longridge Road, Ribbleton, Preston PR2 5BX.

Open to all UK mainland consumers over the age of 18 only, except employees of E.H. Booth & Co. Limited and their immediate families, their agents or anyone professionally connected with this promotion.

Any entries made after the competition’s specified closing date will not be counted.

The promoter will make every reasonable effort to contact the winners, which may include but is not limited to: a stand alone public post from the BoothsCountry social media channels in which you will be tagged if possible, directly commenting on your entry or contacting you via supplied personal details if relevant. Competition winners will be notified within 14 days of the competition closing date.

If after 21 days from the initial attempt to contact, the winner has not responded, the promoter reserves the right to choose another winner without any liability to the original winner for doing so. The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and the promoter reserves the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent or greater value without giving notice.

No responsibility can be taken for any entries that are lost or delayed or which are unable to be sent due to internet connection issues or systems failure or any other factor preventing entries being received. Proof of online entry does not constitute proof of delivery. Please be aware that your social media account privacy settings may affect our ability to see your entry.

We do not accept entries via stories unless otherwise stated.

You may enter each competition only once per qualifying period via each social media platform.

If we request that a particular hashtag is used in conjunction with entry and you do not use it, your entry will not be counted. If you do not enter the competition via the methods stated in the rules, your entry may not be counted.

Unless otherwise stated in prize details, winners are responsible for their own travel arrangements and costs.

The promoter reserves the right to use the names of winners, their photographs and audio and/or visual recordings of them in any publicity. If you do not agree to this please do not enter the competition(s).

In the event of any dispute regarding the rules, conduct, results and all other matters relating to the prize draw, the decision of the promoter shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.

The promoter reserves the right not to award a prize (and select an alternative winner) if the promoter is aware or has reasonable grounds to believe that a winner is not eligible.

By entering the competition, you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you is true, current and complete. The promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants.

The promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrants if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of the rules.

The promoter reserves the right to cancel the competition at any time or amend these terms and conditions without prior notice at any time, for whatever reason.

By entering this competition, participants consent to a complete release of Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with any of the social media channels it is promoted on, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

The Competition and Rules will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England. Where the site and/or the Interactive Services are accessed from Scotland or Northern Ireland, this Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Scotland or Northern Ireland respectively and you hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts or the courts of Northern Ireland respectively.
