British cherries

A real highlight of the British growing season, juicy, gleaming red cherries are a lovely indulgence popped straight off the stalk. Ours come from Chicory Crops, the Herefordshire farm run by brothers Jake and Rupert Simpson. They are third-generation fruit growers who also send us their gooseberries, damsons and apples.  British cherries are a juicy treat just as they are, but they also make a great pie filling and work well added to a sauce for duck.
