Warming Party Punch

  • 1 litre Westons Old Rosie cider
  • 1 orange studded with about 20 cloves
  • 1 orange, juice of
  • 1 clementine, juice of
  • 1 wine glass calvados
  • 1 small cinnamon stick
  • 1 piece vanilla
  • 2 star anise
  • 2tbsp brown sugar


The warm scent of apples and spices simmering on the hob to make this party punch is as good as a hug on a chilly winter’s night.

Pour the cider into a large pan on a low heat and let it warm. Then add the other ingredients and bring to boiling point. Turn down to a simmer for 5 minutes. Taste and add more sugar if you like it sweeter. Perfect with a hot mince pie.
