Cheeseburger Balls On A Stick
Ingredients
- For The Burger Sauce:
- 100ml mayo
- 25ml tomato ketchup
- 1tsp Dijon mustard
- 1tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 4 drops Tabasco® sauce
- 1tbsp shallots, chopped
- 1tbsp gherkins, chopped
- For The Cheeseburger Balls:
- 120g minced beef
- 3 slices of mild cheddar cut into quarters
- 1/4 iceberg lettuce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 6 bamboo skewers
Instructions
Method
- Mix all the burger sauce ingredients together and keep to one side.
- Roll the minced beef into 12 small meatballs.
- Thread 2 meatballs onto a skewer and repeat the process until you have 6 skewers.
- Preheat the oven to 200°c/180°c Fan/356°F/Gas Mark 5.
- Place the skewers onto an oiled oven tray, season to taste and bake in the oven for 4 minutes.
- After 4 minutes carefully top the burger skewers with squares of cheese and bake for a further 2 minutes.
- Thread a chunk of iceberg lettuce onto each skewer and serve with the burger sauce.
Chef’s Tip
To stop the skewers burning, soak in water for 10 minutes before use.
