Ingredients

  • 1 Bramley apple
  • 25g caster sugar
  • 2 Booths apple and fudge hot cross buns
  • 50ml caramel sauce
  • 2 scoops of Booths Caramel Fudge & Clotted Cream
  • Dusting of icing sugar

Instructions

Method:

  1. Peel, core and dice the Bramley apple, place in a small saucepan with a tight-fitting lid and the caster sugar, gently stew for 10 minutes and allow to cool.
  2. Cut the two hot cross buns into halves, toast and keep warm.
  3. Spread one half with the apple sauce and the other half with salted caramel sauce.
  4. Add a ball of ice cream to one half of the hot cross bun and place the other half on top to make a sandwich, dust with icing sugar and serve.

Chef’s Tip:

Elevate this sandwich by drizzling the top with melted milk chocolate and toasted hazelnuts and serve with hot chocolate.
