Apple and Fudge Hot Cross Bun Ice Cream Sandwich
Ingredients
- 1 Bramley apple
- 25g caster sugar
- 2 Booths apple and fudge hot cross buns
- 50ml caramel sauce
- 2 scoops of Booths Caramel Fudge & Clotted Cream
- Dusting of icing sugar
Instructions
Method:
- Peel, core and dice the Bramley apple, place in a small saucepan with a tight-fitting lid and the caster sugar, gently stew for 10 minutes and allow to cool.
- Cut the two hot cross buns into halves, toast and keep warm.
- Spread one half with the apple sauce and the other half with salted caramel sauce.
- Add a ball of ice cream to one half of the hot cross bun and place the other half on top to make a sandwich, dust with icing sugar and serve.
Chef’s Tip:
Elevate this sandwich by drizzling the top with melted milk chocolate and toasted hazelnuts and serve with hot chocolate.
