Simple Steamed Asparagus
- 500g asparagus spears
1 Wash the asparagus and using your hands bend and snap off the woody end, then trim with a knife to neaten off.
2 Steam until the asparagus feels tender when pierced with a sharp knife, between 3-8 minutes, depending on the thickness of your asparagus.
3 Serve with other young steamed vegetables such as baby carrots or sugar snap peas, accompanied by hollandaise sauce or a good vinaigrette. Pick them up with your fingers and dip into the sauce whilst still warm.
