Gourmet Pies Launch in Store
Written on March 9th, 2016
Artisan pie-maker and Head Chef Tom Cull has launched his range of gourmet pies into our stores – just in time to celebrate National Pie Week 2016. (March 7th – 13th)
Tom’s Pies are all handmade from scratch in small batches by skilled chefs, with unique and delicious fillings wrapped in thin and buttery short crust pastry. The range includes Chicken and Wild Mushroom, Lamb and Chorizo and Mushroom and Spinach.
The company began after Tom returned to Devon, following a travel and cookery adventure across the world, with a keen plan to create a truly gourmet pie. He converted an old barn into a kitchen on his family’s 40 acre organic farm near Chagford in the heart of Dartmoor and started growing vegetables and making pies. The Tom’s Pies ethos comes from a firm belief in using responsibly sourced British ingredients, local where possible, which is reflected in his insistence on sourcing only the best produce in his pie range. Speaking about the launch, Tom said:
We are absolutely delighted to be launching with Booths, as a local independent business focussed on supplying fantastic quality pies with excellent provenance we feel Booths’ ethos fits us perfectly. I look forward to developing the relationship further over the coming years and supplying Tom’s Pies to Booths’ customers across the North.
