Steak Masterclass Events At Clitheroe and Knutsford

Written on May 30th, 2024

a selection from the steak masterclass including customers, colleagues and steaks with their sides

Hosted in our Clitheroe and Knutsford stores, customers enjoyed an incredible steak masterclass and learnt about the cuts, top cooking tips and tricks, met members of the Booths team and of course tasted a number of steaks cooked to perfection!

A Sizzling Evening

On arrival, guests were greeted with a glass of fizz and canapé while they met our specialist team. Craft & Skill Specialist Colin & Fresh Meat Buyer David introduced the event and educated customers on our butchery counters, talking through the Booths Butcher Academy, meat sourcing and different cuts of steak using full size primals to demonstrate and answering any questions along the way.

Our Booths Development Chef Dane prepared and cooked three courses where customers sampled three different cuts of steak with a range of sides, variety of sauces and a bottle of red wine specially selected to complement the food!

You Tasted…

Fillet Steak Tartare crostini with Booths Prosecco
Rump Steak with Chunky Chips
Ribeye Steak with Asparagus
Fillet Steak with Dauphinoise Potatoes
The wine pairing was a delicious red wine, d’Arenberg d’Arry’s Original Grenache Shiraz, selected by our Wine Buyer
Sauce options included mayonnaise, mustard and ketchup from the Curtice Brothers, and bearnaise & peppercorn sauce.

The evening was finished with a sweet treat from Tony’s Chocolonely and all guests received a goody bag containing a mini mustard, mayonnaise and ketchup from the Curtice Brothers, Scottish Sea Salt from Blackthorn, Skinny London Tonic from Artisan Drinks Company and Beef Jerky from Mr Filbert’s.

Comments From Our Team

Our customers LOVED it and we had a great time hosting too. They were treated to stories about how we source our meat, learnt how we invest in colleagues through the Butchery Academy and of course four incredible courses of different steaks prepared by Dane. A fantastic experience for all involved, both we and the customers are very much looking forward to the next one! – Lucy Croston, Specialist Manager at Knutsford

I’m proud that the Beef, Lamb, Pork and chicken we sell on our Butchers counter is sourced from Booths country. Our butchers counters are filled with high quality fresh beef, lamb and pork steaks and joints sourced from farms across the beautiful landscapes of Lancashire, Cheshire, Yorkshire and Cumbria (which we call Booths Country). These events have been the perfect way to showcase the quality of our beef whilst guiding customers on our approach to sourcing and sharing cooking tips. – David Simons, Fresh Meat Buyer

These types of events allow us to showcase what’s really special about Booths, great products made by some of our fantastic suppliers, who, like the Booths team are the key ingredient to a truly memorable event. I personally love being involved in showcasing the best of Booths and to be honest, it’s not really work when you get to taste some magical food and drink alongside some of our wonderful customers. – Colin Porter, Craft & Skill Specialist
