How To Bake The Perfect Jacket Potato

  1. First, prick the potatoes with a fork. Rub the skin with a little olive oil and season all over with sea salt.
  2. Bake in the oven at 200°C / 180°Fan / 392°F / Gas Mark 6 for 50-90 minutes until the skin is crisp and centre is fluffy and tender.
  3. Cut the potatoes open as soon as possible which allows any excess steam to release. Mash the flesh with a fork to make the inside fluffy.
