Locally sourced from Booths Country

Supporting our local communities is very important to us and with skilled farmers rearing high quality animals on our doorstep, we are committed to sourcing meat from across the Northen counties we call home or as we like to call it, Booths Country.

Our butchers counters are filled with high quality fresh beef, lamb and pork steaks and joints sourced from farms across the beautiful landscapes of Lancashire, Cheshire, Yorkshire and Cumbria. Our Chickens are always from Cumbria. We make our own British beef burgers and sausages in Lancashire; made with selected cuts of outdoor bred British pork. And of course, all Booths fresh meat across our stores is always 100% British.

Our butchers counters celebrate the seasons, with game from Booths Country  available in autumn and winter, plus a selection of very special seasonal Lamb.  Sourced directly from two farmers Mr Case and Mr Wilson our Saltmarsh lamb is raised on the Cartmel peninsula on Morecambe Bay, where grazing on samphire and herbal grasses gives the meat a distinctively sweet flavour. Our Herdwick and Lakeland Lamb is sourced from fifth generation Cumbria fell farmer Ian Knight, who rears Booths own lambs and prepares them on his farm.
